eBay Motors Redesign Lacks Function
I goto eBay motors daily to shop for cars or just really look at new models and what they are selling for. Today, I was greeted with a NEW eBay Motors.
Its nice and very “Web 2.0″ its got all the elements, pretty soft colors here is the old site for comparison:
I am used to this site, I go there click Cars and Truck and I am taken to a nice list of all makes and models, simple. The new eBay likes to make this simpler but yet they overly complicate it. Now I click on Cars and Trucks I get a page with ALL the listings and a short list of Makes. I have to click on “More Choices” now I have to make another selection:
Choose the Make I want to see, then hit update, then I have to choose the model, then I finally see what I want to see or do i?
Here is what I see, Choices to choose all sorts of options rather then just showing me the list, that’s half way down the page, you pay for premium placement on ebay and I guess they keep it all for themselves now with this huge space at the top, and notice the lack of options to sort they are in the drop down box there, here is the old view:
I can sort by year, miles, price just by clicking on the column, I found one quick fix if I goto http://cars.ebay.com I can see the old listing but if I choose any I get the new display. Why does eBay take away features and when did eBay turn into Edmunds?
Meh! eBay Motors lets do lunch and work out some of these issues please?!?!

Top 5 Thing Ford Needs to Change to Get Back On Top
1. Bring back amber turn signals:
This is a 2001 Explorer Tail Light
and this is a 2007 Tail (don’t let the top reflector fool you)
Even the cheapest econ boxes from china have amber signals why not Ford?
2. Do your design people talk to each other?
Lets look at the new Fords, here we have the NEW Taurus on top, the TaurusX (FreeStyle) and the new Edge.
Now lets look at the new Escape
Wtf?
3. BRING OVER THE MONDEO! I can’t stress this enough, Ford makes AWESOME cars in other countries Push Button Start in a Ford, Color Screen in the Gauge Cluster?? Another WTF? Seriously, GM has learned this and the new Saturns are leaps and bounds better then the previous generations.
4. New Radios
I mean the new GM Radio is nice
New Old Whatever Ford Radio From a 2007 Five Hundred:
Wow, What is this 1991? Ford are you even trying? I know you have deals with Microsoft and there is a new Sync Radio in the Ford Flex (LOL Don’t get me started).
5. You learned your lesson with the Five Hundred/Taurus debacle, now can you bring Lincoln back to glory it once was. Don’t follow trends SET THEM bring back the Continental don’t kill the Town Car and while you’re at it catch up the technology, add some bluetooth and spice them up!

Top Instant Messenger Hacks
Yeah, I know I said I would post more but well I haven’t, but I am going to try to do this daily. I am not a fan of Trillian so I still use the “Big 3″ messengers independantly but with added hacks to make them more friendly.
AIM: www.aimadhack.net is just great, it will download and install the newest version of AIM, then it will remove all the crap AOL tries to install along with the ads.
MSN: www.mess.be MessPatch is another great fix for MSN, this will allow you to customize your MSN to your distinct taste, whatever that maybe, along with removing ads and adding a few fun goodies as well.
Yahoo!: Y.AddsRemover works for yahoo pretty well, you can download this one here.
So yeah, with these simple programs it really makes using each client easier, for me at least.

So I just upgraded to 2.1 and I notice all these nifty changes to the admin area. If you haven’t checked it out you should definately jump on it.
New Puppy!! Welcome Amelia Allyson Mau!
My wife and I have had quite the void since we lost Doogle so we figured the best way to fill that void would be to start looking for a new puppy. This time we wanted to make sure we found someone that is in it for the breed and not for the money. So would you please help me welcome Amelia (we’ll call her Mia for short)…
We will be picking her up when we get back from NY on Feb 4th! I can’t wait!!
Doogle Mau - 05/28/2000 - 01/13/2007
Sad news, my most awesome Saint Bernard, Doogle passed away tonight at the age of 6½. Apparently he had some spleen issues that cause his spleen to get twisted about 8 times the vet said. He’s in a better place now.
